We are looking for a dedicated, friendly and caring person to lead small and specialised care before and after school clubs for our 5-11 year old pupils at St Michael’s Academy during school term time.

The main purpose of the job is to supervise the children before their school day. The post holder will ensure the children are safe in a structured routine, manage the online booking system and build positive, effective relationships with parents / carers.  There is a more comprehensive description at the end of this document.

Our popular academy was rated as “Good with outstanding behaviour and safety” by Ofsted.  We are a small, one-form entry Catholic primary academy with the motto ‘Praise the Lord in work, play and prayer’ permeating everything we do. We are blessed with a supportive team of dedicated staff, a family community feel and children who want to learn in a stimulating environment. Our aim is to be outstanding in our provision every day.

The successful applicant will ensure that school care clubs deliver a high quality service for parents and children in accordance with academy policies and procedures under the overall direction of the principal.  (For the right suitably qualified candidate, there may be potential to also work as a Teaching Assistant on a Friday morning).
